Best Buy Money Back Guarantee __EXCLUSIVE__
I'm more than irritated by Best Buy's return policy. When dealing with electronics, a 14 day return policy or 60 day return policy (for Total Tech Members) is not enough time. I purchased a TCL 40 inch Smart Roku TV on September 13, 2022. On Wednesday, November 23, 2022, The set stopped working, wouldn't even turn on. Since it was the Thanksgiving Holiday and I was on my way out of town on the 23rd, I couldn't do anything about it at that time. Since I am a Total Tech Member, I contacted the Geek Squad that day, who came out On November 30th. They determined that the set was "dead" and not likely to be brought back to life. They recommended that I return the set to the store for refund or exchange. Obviously, this was after the 60 day return Policy for Total Tech Members (But the customer service person kept saying I only had 14 days to return). Because it was after the return policy timeframe, I was told that they could not exchange or refund that it would have to be sent to the manufacture for service. I was told it would be at least 3 weeks but probably after the first of the year before the set would be returned or replaced under Manufacture 12 month warranty. This is ludicruous. I'm a senior citizen left without my TV throughout the Holiday season. Shame on Best Buy. The set died just 10 days after the 60 day return Policy for Total Tech Members. Best Buy should have the good ethics to replace or refund. The return policy should be at least 3 months on electronics for non Total Tech and at least 6 months for Total Tech Members. Most electronics aren't going to show any defects in just 14 days or even 60 days. My experience is usually 3 to 6 months especially with TV's if anything is going to go wrong. I don't want the TCL back even if the company is able to fix it (which I doubt) and I definitely don't want another TCL as this was the 2nd one to go out on me in 3 years. The first one was returned with no hassel as it was right at the last week of my 60 day return window. But this time, no such luck. Merry Christmas Best Buy and shame on you again. Absolutely no Holiday spirit, cheer or ethics on your part. Just parrot talk by the service people. I don't understand why you can't just send defective merchandise back to the Manufacturer when it's within their 12 month Warranty and simply refund the customer or replace with another TV of equal value but different manufacture. You can get your money back from the manufacture. Why make me suffer? I don't want any more TCL products, I just want my money back. I'm on a limited income and can't afford to just go buy another set. I want to watch my Holiday shows, Grand Prix of Figure Skating etc. Thanks to Best Buy, I no longer have that ability. Much as I hate Walmart, at least they would have taken the set back and refunded my money. That is how Customer service should be because they want my business. Apparently Best Buy no longer values my business. It's a shame. I've been a Best Buy customer for years and always received excellent service even on items past the return policy. They always went to bat for me when it came to defective merchandise. Apparently that is no more. Obviously, ethics in business is a thing of the past.

That is what I thought also. I've never had a problem before when things went wrong, even after the return policy window. This is the first time that I ever received this kind of response. I'm totally frustrated with Best Buy right now and am questioning why I am even paying for the Total Tech membership. I was pretty much told that there would be no return or exchange, that the set HAD to be returned for servicing. I let them do that. Now I'm being told that because it was returned for servicing, that I MUST wait to see if it could be fixed before an exchange can be made. And, if they "fix it", I'm stuck with the same defective piece of merchandise which I'll bet my slim retirement check on that it will break down again within a couple of months. I worked in retail back in the early 70's and, if a customer brought back defective merchandise that was still covered under the manufacturer warranty, the store replaced it and THEY dealt with the manufacturer for their refund on defective merchandise. Not only have the warranty periods shrunk over the years, but apparantly stores are not willing to back the merchandise they sell. Much as I hate WalMart for various reasons, they are still about the only store I know that still provides a no hassle moneyback guarantee.
Lemon laws. Many states have lemon laws for new and used cars, pets, and, in New York, even wheelchairs. If a problem can't be fixed after a certain number of attempts or a given period, you're entitled to at least part of your money back. Some lemon laws provide arbitration panels to hear complaints.

Each will also deliver a new car right to your door, in most instances. Unlike the others, CarMax also offers physical locations where shoppers can peruse cars.

Some scammers may ask for your bank account information to refund your money, then fake a transaction and make it look like they accidentally refunded you too much. To pay them back, they tell you to buy gift cards and give them the gift card numbers and PINs.
They hit me last year. Pretended they were calling from Amazon and wanted to put money back into my checking account. I believed it to be legit and followed along for a while. Then it hit me. Why would Amazon refund me money that I did not deserve. Immediately called my bank and even though it was Friday after hours someone did pick up. Went to the bank on Monday and told them what happened. She pulled up my checking and savings account numbers and handed me the printout. I knew immediately that they had gotten into the account since I don't usually keep that much money in checking -- $5,000. Had to close the accounts and reopen...even credit cards that were attached. What a nightmare. 041b061a72
